SAN ANGELO Juan Torres, 60, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at his home. Juan was born Oct. 19, 1953, in Hillsboro, Texas, to Jaime and Luciana Torres. Juan was employed as a sheep shearer plus many side occupations until 1992 when he became disabled. His last two years of life he became an owner of a D.J. business he built together with his son-in-law, until he passed it down due to illness. Juan enjoyed playing pool, helping others and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ruben Torres; parents Jaime and Luciana Torres; sister Minnie Luna; and brother-in-law Lupe Luna, Sr. Juan is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Reyes and husband Gonzalo of San Angelo; two sons, Johnny Torres Jr. of San Antonio and Jason Torres and wife Jessica of Fort Hood; eight grandchildren, Ruben and Juliana Reyes, Jasmine and Monique Torres, Jason Jr. and Mason Torres, Jayln Torres and Rebekah Hernandez; three brothers, Ray Torres and wife Cleofas, Fernand Torres and wife Susan and Jaime Torres Jr., all from Eola; three sisters, Olga Rivera and husband Johnny of Eola, Isabel Rivera and husband Herman of San Angelo and Lucy Rivera and husband Jerry of San Angelo; very special friend who never left his side, Lupe Torres; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Prayer service is at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lakan officiating. Burial will follow in Eola Cemetery.
