Valorie Crawford Obituary

CRAWFORD, VALORIE JANE Valorie Jane Crawford, 65, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Zeeland, passed away on June 18, 2013. Valorie was born November 17, 1947, in Tacoma, Washington, to Alfred and Emily (Clements) McCaleb. Valorie graduated from Muskegon High School in 1965 and then did nurse's training for two years. Later in her life, she worked as a construction estimator. Valorie was proud that her two daughters attended college and loved caring for her mother in her later years. She adored her four beautiful grandchildren. Valorie was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. James Nutt, and her mother, Emily McCaleb. She is survived by her brother, Alfred McCaleb; daughters, Jennifer Crawford, Lisa Kimbrell; four grandchildren, Alexander and Emma Cogger, Hunter and Riya Kimbrell; her former husband, Larry Crawford; cousins, Bette and Tom Terpstra, Sally Clements. Funeral services are 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 22, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland. Visitation is 5-8 pm, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Rothbury. Memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice. www.yntemafh.com.
