Paul Nanninga Obituary

NANNINGA - Paul Allen Nanninga, aged 60, of Saranac, passed away April 13, 2011. He was born May 29, 1950 in Grand Rapids the son of Fred and Alice (Bos) Nanninga. Paul married Susan Olthof November 10, 1973 in Ferrysburg. He was a veteran of the Navy serving in Vietnam. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Sue Nanninga of Saranac; mother, Alice Nanninga of Lowell; children, Jill (Joe) DeBoer of Saranac, Matt (Cassie) Nanninga of Lowell, Betsy Nanninga of California; sister, Sandy (Tom) VanLaan of Dutton; five grandchildren, Zach and Kaiden DeBoer, Kayleigh, Ethan and Evan Nanninga; father and mother-in-law, John and Marge Olthof of Grand Haven; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Tiger the dog. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred and one brother, Larry. Funeral Services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at the Impact Church in Lowell with Pastor Jason Holdridge officiating. Interment South Boston Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday 2 to 5 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac and one hour prior to the service at the church. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's of West Michigan. Online condolences may be made at: www.lakefuneralhomes.com
