Brewer, Linda  
Linda Brewer, 68, of Dry Ridge, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence. Survivors include her husband, Earl Brewer; a son, Jimmy Brewer of Dry Ridge; daughters, Judy Plunkett and Janet Brewer, both of Dry Ridge; four brothers; four sisters; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral Services were held Jan. 23 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge. Burial was in Clarks Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Clemons, Larry  
Larry Morris Clemons, 74, of Williamstown, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of the late Huber and Lula Straub Clemons. Survivors include his wife, Tirah Clemons of Williamstown; stepchildren, Billie Prather Cook, Larry Draper, Jerry Draper, Mike Draper, Howard Draper, Cheryl Grote, Sisan Ligon, William Gates, Eugene Gates, Melanie Gates and Hazel Dozer, 30 step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Jan. 26 at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Burial was in the Gardnersville Cemetery in Pendleton County.

Cummins, Geraldine  
Geraldine Cummins, 67, of Dry Ridge, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood. Survivors include her son, Brent Cummins and a sister, Marlene Samples. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Cuzick, Merle  
Merle Wayne Cuzick, 69, of Crittenden, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. He was a farmer and owned Tri-State Proseeders, LLC and was a member of All Saints Church and of the Cincinnati Bop Club. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, driving his 1955 Chevy and especially loved animals. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Joe Cuzick; a sister, Jeannie Cuzic; a son, Derek Cuzick and brother-in-law, Charlie Baker. Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Dianne Ammer Cuzick of Crittenden; sons; Jody Cuzick (Jody) and Jason Mullins (Rachel); a daughter; Beckie Parsons; brothers, Freddie Cuzick (Phyllis), Lee Cuzick (Heather) and Ronnie Cuzick (Karen); sisters, Mary Kay Bishoff (Lawrence), Helen Baker and Joyce Cozine (Wilbur); grandchildren, Ryanne Parsons, Garrett Cuzick (Brianna), Clay Cuzick, Cole Cuzick, Kaleb Mullins and Kayden Mullins as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at Chambers and Grubbs in Walton. A funeral mass was held at All Saints Church on Wednesday, Jan. 21 in Walton. Burial was in St. Patricks Cemetery in Verona. Groves Jr., Nelson  
Ellis Nelson Groves, Jr., 72 of Berry, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood. He was born on Oct. 5, 1942 in Ohio. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Lynn Brown Groves of Berry; his mother, Martha Rieder Groves of Florence; a daughter, Carmen (Rodney) Goderwis and granddaughters, Linsey, Allison and Haleigh Goderwis, all of Florence. He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Nelson Groves, Sr. He was a 1960 graduate of Grant County High School and was generous of heart and always willing to help others. He had a great love of John Deere tractors and working outdoors. He spent his early career as a truck driver; eventually owning his own trucking company. He then moved on to working with a heavy hauling and rigging company called S & H Contractors, where he became president of the company. He later went on to own service stations in Verona and a used car dealership in Warsaw. He retired from Dallas Equipment Company in 2013. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with funeral services being held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery. Hicks, Jeanette  
Jeanette Perkins Hicks, 64, of Florence, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence. She was the daughter of the late Ida Mae and James Perkins. Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Vargas of Florence; brothers, Jimmy Perkins of Florence and Tommy Perkins of Walton; sisters, Jane Crider of Verona and Hazel Cooper of Crittenden and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Jan. 18 at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden. A memorial committal service was held at the New Bethel Cemetery mausoleum.

Paul M. Jones, Sr., 67, of Corinth, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann F. Jones of Corinth; sons, Paul Jones, Jr. of Covington, Tommy Jones of Nashville, Tennessee and Joseph Jones of Flagstaff, Arizona; daughters, Luana Baucom of Nashville, Tennessee, Laura Jones of Covington, Valerie Hoffman of Belton, South Carolina and Sarah Jones of Corinth; brothers, Dave Jones of Williamstown, and Jimmy Jones of Covington; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services being held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 13 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Burial with military honors will be held at the KY Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown.

Joseph E. Kearnes, 82, of Florence, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Care Center in Edgewood. Survivors includeby his wife, Joan Kearnes; a daughter, Kathy Jolene Kearnes of Florence; a sister, Pat Phillips of Campbellsville. Funeral services were held on Jan. 12 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge. Burial with military honors was in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.

June P. Kellam, 89, of Florence, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 in Edgewood. She was the daughter of the late Gettys Dean and Ethel Gladys Bennett Neal. Survivors include her daughters, Diane J. Howard of Florence and Sheri Hanna of Columbus, Indiana and two grandchildren. Graveside services were held on Jan. 12 at the Williamstown Cemetery. Burial was in the Williamstown Cemetery.

Marksberry Jr., Paul E.  
Paul E. Marksberry, Jr., 48, of Norwood, OH. died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on May 8, 1966 in Williamstown to Paul E. Marksberry, Sr. and Janet J. Lovelace Marksberry. He was a graduate of Williamstown High School and was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church. He proudly served his country for over 10 years in the United States Air Force. During his time in the service, he received the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Longevity Service Award, the Air Force Training Ribbon, the Air Force Overseas Service Long Tour Ribbon, and the National Defense Service Medal. He also received the Humanitarian Service Medal for his part in the relief efforts from the July 1990 earthquake in Northern Luzon, Republic of the Philippines while deployed with the 13th Air Force Medical Center, Medical Rapid Response Force. Survivors include his parents, Rev. Paul E. and Janet Marksberry of Williamstown; a sister, Stephanie Newman of Williamstown; nephews, Ray Newman and Kalub Paul Newman, both of Williamstown and nieces, River Newman and Lola Newman, both of Williamstown. Committal service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Online condolences can be made at www.mcdanielfuneralhome.com.
