Anna Mary Kells Gordon, 102, of the Cordova community of Grant County, was born at Gumlick in Pendleton County on March 19, 1911 and died Thursday, August 15, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood after a short illness.
A life-long resident of Grant County, she was the daughter of the late Benny and Fanny Lee Rogers Kells.
Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her husband, O'Connell "Dick" Gordon and her son, Arthur Glenn "Tuffy" Gordon. She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy "Peachy" Gordon Altman of Williamstown; one sister, Fay Denny of Waynesville, OH; one granddaughter, Rebecca Gordon of Lexington, and several nieces and nephews.
A lifetime member of the Marcus Crooked Creek Baptist Church, she was a homemaker and farmer.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 19 at Elliston Stanley Funeral Home Williamstown by Rev. Jay Holt and Rev. Jeremy Northcutt, with burial in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry, Kentucky.
