B. J. Chipman, 75, of Williamstown, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 24,1937 to the late Frank and Edith Renaker Chipman.
B.J. was a lifelong farmer. Originally a member of the Salem Methodist Church, he later transferred his church membership to the Williamstown United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death in 2009 by his brother, Beuferd Chipman. He is survived by cousins, a host of friends and a community that cared deeply for him.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services being held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 20 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.
Reverend Barry Robinson and B.J.'s friends are celebrating his life.
Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.
