Raymond "'Sonny'" Bowen


Raymond L. "Sonny" Bowen, 74, of Williamstown and formerly of Pendleton County, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.
He was a retired customer service supervisor with U.S. Airways and Piedmont Airlines. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member and former Deacon of Williamstown Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marsha Glass Bowen; sons, Jeff (Phyllis) Bowen of Conyers, Ga. and Chuck (Lori) Bowen of Lexington; a daughter, Becky Bowen Brown of Williamstown; his mother, E. Marie Wallace Bowen Turner of Williamstown; a brother, James Bowen of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Brenda Montgomery of Dry Ridge and Elaine (Barry) Kinman of Crittenden and five grandchildren, Anthony Sarcione, Jeremy Bowen, Braeden Bowen, Carter Sarcione, and Brinlee Bowen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Bowen; a brother, Rev. Danny Glenn Bowen and a sister, Bette Burlew.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 29 at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.
Burial was in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
