Ruby Petitt

Ruby Lee Pettit, 88, of Dry Ridge, died Thursday, Dec.6, 2012 at home.
She was born in Grant County to the late J. D. Webster and Etha Updike Webster.
Ruby was a homemaker, farmer and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She worked for Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati as a teenager and she worked for the Wright Aircraft Company assembling aircrafts during World War II.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Griffith M. Pettit in 1988; a son, Thomas G. Pettit in July 2012 and a brother, Camden Webster.
Survivors include a son, Steven D. (Barbara) Pettit of Williamstown; daughters: Becky (Gilbert) Jackson and Mary Ellen Stamper, both of Dry Ridge; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Pettit of Dry Ridge and a sister-in-law, Marion Wilhoite of Dry Ridge. She has five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a great, great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 11 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge with Rev. Gene Hill and Rev. Gayliss Gaines officiating.
Burial was in the Jonesville Cemetery.
