H. Wayne Antrobus, 64, of Rockwell, Texas, formerly of Williamstown, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2013.
He was born on June 14, 1949 in Williamstown and was the son of the late Howard Antrobus and Helen (Reed) Antrobus.
He married the love of his life, Patty Beltran on Aug. 5, 2000 in Dallas, Texas. He joined the United State Air Force in 1969, working in medical administration at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Ill.
After leaving the Air Force, he found his passion and lifelong career in law enforcement. He worked with several police departments in Illinois and Arizona, retiring from the Dallas Police Department after 23 years of service.
Upon his retirement, Wayne found joy in the investment board, retiree's luncheons, genealogy, assisting with the Republic Party meetings, taking numerous trips to Columbia and working in his yard after a good cup of coffee. As involved as he was in many activities, the most important thing for him was to spend time with his wife and son. He also lived his faith through his devotion and generosity to the church.
Survivors include his wife, Patty (Beltran) Antrobus of Rockwell, Texas; sons, David Antrobus and John Antrobus; brothers, Dan, Bob (Judi) and Randy (Melissa) Antrobus; a sister, Ana, Eli and Camila and Aunt Gladys Callado.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2 with funeral services being held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at the Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwell Chapel with Rev. Timothy Greenawalt and Dr. Delwin Bardales officiating.
Burial will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
