Karen Hughes King, 56 of Dry Ridge, died Monday, April 30, 2018 at her residence. She was the wife of Douglas P. King.
On March 22, 1962, she was born in Covington to Mary "Cutie" James Hughes and the late Thomas Hughes.
She was united in marriage to Douglas P. King in 1986. From this union was born, and survived by a son, Logan D. King of Dry Ridge and a daughter, Erin Hughes-King Marksberry (Ronald) of Dry Ridge.
In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include her sisters, Kimberly J. Hughes and Angela D. Hughes McClure (Tom), both of Dry Ridge and two grandchildren, Sydney Raquel Marksberry and Bailey Ann Nichole Marksberry.
She was a member of the Sherman Baptist Church, where she was in charge of the kitchen committee as well as the WMU. She was a former 37-year employee of Cengage Learning of Independence. She loved to work in her flower garden, loved to camp and most importantly, loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 3 at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.
Burial was in the New Vine Run Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
