Mabel Lawson Simpson, 100, formerly of Crittenden, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at Grant Center in Williamstown.
She was born March 4, 1918 in Powell County and was the daughter of the late Roy Edgar and Mary Betty Lewis Lawson. She was a lunchroom manager at Dry Ridge Elementary for many years. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Church of Christ. She was the widow of the late Marvin "Randall" Simpson; he preceded her in death on March 8, 1979.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Lee (Larry) Howe and Pamela Alease (Steve) Faulkner, both of Crittenden; sisters, Beulah Hill True of Cynthiana, Bernice Bennett of Williamstown, Sylvia Cook Shetler of Florence, Odella Delaney of Mason and Betty Sue McClannahan of Greendale, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Lawson, Jr. and three sisters, Julie Cash, Florene Lucas and Ella Simpson.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Stanley Funeral Homes in Williamstown.
A committal service will be held immediately after visitation at Williamstown Cemetery.
