Jackie Mercer Beck Anderson of Bowling Green passed away Dec. 23, 2017, at Hospice of South-­Central Kentucky with her family by her side.
Jackie was a Christian, loving wife, nurturing mother, loyal friend and world traveler. She was a member of West End Church of Christ in Bowling Green. She was born in Bowling Green on July 24, 1941, to the late Bill and Vergie Mercer. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University and studied abroad in Europe.
She is survived by her husband, W.D. Anderson of Bowling Green; children, Steve Beck (Cheryl) of Bowling Green, Nicky Corder (Keith) of Indianapolis, Jason Beck of Bowling Green, Phyllis Spear (Gene) of Bowing Green and Mary Lou Sallee (Lowell) of Alabama; grandchildren, Heather Davis (Jason), Kaitlyn Beck, Ashley Day (Alex), Elizabeth Corder, Kannon Beck, Jennifer Holt (Kelly), David Spear (Sarah), Rebekah Penner (Aaron) and Daniel Sallee (Jenna); 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike Mercer of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Colson, and a sister, Louise Davenport.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane Chapel, in Bowling Green. Burial is in Bowling Green Gardens.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
