ROCKLEDGE, FLA. C. Anne Justinger, 70, of Coldwater, Mich., died of complications of pneumonia Monday, April 1, in Rockledge, Fla.
Services have taken place. Beams Funeral Home of Fremont, Ind., handled arrangements.
She was born Feb. 21, 1943, in Defiance Hospital in Defiance, Ohio, to Victor and Marie Kunesh. She was the beloved wife of James Justinger for 48 years; devoted mother of Connie (John) Higbea and Douglas Justinger of Defiance; and loving grandmother to four grandchildren, Cassandra, Craig, Carl James (CJ) Higbea and Suzanne Justinger. She will be sadly missed by sisters, Bennette (Dan) Singer of Sherwood, Ohio, and Vonne Hall of Great Falls; brothers Amandus and Albert (Coni) Kunesh of Great Falls; nephew Rick (Sandy) Larson of Belt; and cherished by numerous friends and family.
She was preceded in death by Benjamin and Clara Losh and Victor and Marie Kunesh; brother Roger; and nephew Bryan Kunesh.
Anne received her RN degree in nursing from St. Rita's School of Nursing and a BS degree in nursing from Defiance College. She went on to complete her certification as a family practitioner and was employed at the Defiance Clinic for a number of years.
Anne was one of the first nurse practitioners in Ohio. In 1993, she expanded her training in order to be certified as a diabetes educator. Anne was always dedicated to her patients, which was reflected in her enjoyment of the profession and the caring impression she left on all those she helped. She was a member of St. Paul's Chapel in Clear Lake, Ind.
Anne was a longtime 4H advisor, community volunteer and a member of the Eagles, Moose, VFW
and American Legion. She enjoyed spending time at the lake surrounded by family, playing cards, traveling and the occasional trip to the casino.
She will be a bright light that will live on forever in the hearts of family and friends.
