Davida Lucille McCoy

BELT Davida Lucille (Phillips) McCoy, 89, of Belt, died of natural causes Sunday, March 31, at a local nursing facility.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home. A private burial will take place in Dutton later this spring.

Davida was born April 7, 1923, in Dutton, to Fred and Naomi (Lundeen) Phillips. She lived most of her life in Belt.

She is survived by her daughter, Candice (Gary) Gray of Belt; stepdaughters Mary Beth (Dan) Ewen of Great Falls and Betty (Nick Shrauger) McCoy of Bozeman; granddaughter Sherry (Kelly) Coffin of Bozeman and their three children, Rachel, Hannah, Elisa and Josiah; sister Pat (Ken) Bolland of Helena; sister-in-law Shirlee Phillips of Great Falls; one nephew; and nine nieces.

She was preceded in death by husbands Franklyn Smails in 1946 and Benjamin McCoy in 1986; brothers Bud and Clarence Phillips; sister Jerry Smails; one nephew; and two nieces.

Memorials are suggested to the Belt Library, Belt, Montana.
