Dorothy was born January 3, 1937, in Lewistown, MT, the only daughter of Robert and Velma (Gwynne) Avery. She married Roland "Ron" Fulbright on June 18, 1955 in Hobson, MT.
Dorothy was the devoted wife of farmer, mechanic, welder and long-haul trucker, Ron, primarily raising their four children from Fort Benton, MT. With the CB handle of "Molly Mouse", she often waited in worry for "Horny Toad" to announce his arrival home. She was extremely proud of their efforts to help raise their grandson, Chasten Bo. Bringing him into their home when he was 2, 7 and 11 through 18, she provided a safe and comfortable home for him to lead a happy childhood.
Dorothy was noted for her creativity, taking on any project and making it seem easy. She was a wonderful seamstress and she could knit, crochet, do macramé and beading and painting on some of Ron's woodworking. She was also a wonderful pianist.
Dorothy also enjoyed the privilege of working with her daughter, Sue, at Crop Hail Insurance for several years. She spent many years volunteering with the Foster Grandparents Program where she read books to children in the Sun River Valley school district.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ron.
She is survived by her four daughters, Connie (Gerry) Robinson of Clancy, Vonnie Fulbright of Helena, Sue (Jim) Hammons of Tulsa, OK, and Wendie (Ron) Leonard of Sun River as well as the grandson she helped raise, Chasten Bo Fulbright of Seattle, WA. She is also remembered by her grandchildren Gene (Jenn) Clark of New Ulm, MN, Josh (Kellee) Clark of Great Falls, Kassidi (Cory) Preston of Great Falls, Ryan Leonard of Great Falls, Jake Deshner and Tanessa Deshner of Helena, Megan and T.J. Hammons of Tulsa, OK. She was great-grandmother to Easton Clark of New Ulm, MN, Aiden Highers of Tulsa, OK, Max Deshner of Helena, Carrington Preston of Great Falls, and Gavin and Parker Ziele of Helena. She was also Aunt Dorothy to Phil, Lynn, Donnie and Robbie.
