SHELBY Lucille Robertson Frydenlund, 85, of Shelby, a farm wife, died of natural causes Monday, Jan. 14, at the Marias Care Center due to natural causes.

At her request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her children (all of Shelby): daughter, Becky (Bill) Hansell; sons Myron (Mary) Frydenlund, Merlin (Karie) Frydenlund, Keith (Jane) Frydenlund and Wyatt Frydenlund; siblings Betty Stevens of Phoenix, Clare (Thelma) Robertson of Phoenix, Shirley Sheridan of Polson, Vernon (Sharen) Robertson of Devon and Duane (Barb) Robertson of Helena; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sister Darlyn Keller; and brother James (Red) Robertson.

Lucille was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Libby to Clarence and Beatrice (Eide) Robertson. She attended country school south of Devon and high school in Shelby.

Lucille married George Frydenlund on July 3, 1949, in Shelby, and the couple farmed south of Devon for many years.

Along with being a busy farm wife, she worked at the Galata Store, served as an election judge and was active in the Devon Lutheran Church.

Lucille was kept busy with the lives of her children and grandchildren. All her children remained in Shelby and raised their families. She made it a point to attend all her children's school activities and was ready to babysit whenever called upon. She became a much loved helper at the Marias Care Center after her mother, Bea Robertson, became a resident there.

Memorials are suggested to the Tree of Life at the Marias Care Center.
