PAUL LEISHMAN SELLEY
Great Falls —Paul L. Selley of Great Falls, passed away May 10, 2013 at Peace Hospice. He is survived by his wife Fay (of 68 years); daughters Paula Barbour, Marilyn (Dennis) Erickson, Jill (Claude Butler)Trovatten; son Scott Selley; grandchildren, Chris(Ken) Berg, Todd (Angie) Barbour, Bryce (Mary) Erickson, Ryan Erickson, Erik and Lauren Trovatten, and Caley Barton; great-grandchildren, B-bunch Nicki, Jake, Samantha, Kendra and Tana, Tysen, Ayden and Tanner Barbour, Brennan Erickson, and Jagger Sensibaugh; Special extended family Frosty and DeLayne Sensibaugh and Bob and Louise Falk; siblings Calvin Selley, Arlee, Tegan, and Betty Anderson.
Paul was born to William and Ethel Selley May 28, 1921 in Wellsville, Utah, the 5th of 8 children. After graduating from South Cache High School Paul enlisted in the Navy. He was a Navy carrier fighter pilot in WWII and the Korean War
, flying an F6F Hellcat and the F4U Corsair. He married Faye Wyatt in January 1945. They have 4 children, Paula, Marilyn, Scott and Jill.
Paul was in the Navy 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. The Selley family moved to Great Falls in 1959. Paul worked as an Air Traffic Controller at both Malmstrom AFB and the Great Falls Airport. He also remained in the Navy Reserves, teaching instrument flying.
Paul loved watching his children and grandchildren in their sporting events and other assorted activities. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoying camping with family and friends. Many family fun nights included card, board and dice games. He also participated in pool leagues.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; sister Vivian Bailey and brothers Leland, Woodrow and Junior Selley; and son-in-law Tim Barbour.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Peace Hospice of Montana.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16th, 1:00pm, Croxford Funeral Home, 1307 Central Avenue, Reverend Phillip Caldwell officiating. Burial, with military honors, to follow in Highland Cemetery.
