Great Falls —Rudolph Henry Harms, 95, of Great Falls, passed away March 8, 2014 of natural causes. His funeral service will be held Friday, March 14 at 1:30 pm in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Rudolph was born November 6, 1918 in Flanagan, IL, where he was also raised. He went to school at the University of Illinois, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with Honors. He met Thelma Irene Burley and they were married on September 16, 1945 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Great Falls. They were blessed with 69 years of marriage.

Rudy served during the Second World War as a meteorologist in the Army Air Corp, and served in Alaska and at Malmstrom Air Force Base. Upon honorable discharge from the military, he worked at Grogan Robinson Wholesale from 1943 until his retirement as Secretary/Treasurer in 1987. Rudy was a Lifetime Member of the Elks, registering 66 years of membership. He was also involved in the Optimist Club, serving as Treasurer, was a Past President of Montana Building Dealers Association, belonged to Meadow Lark Country Club and was a long standing member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Rudy enjoyed watching his wheat grow, fishing, golfing, bowling, traveling, spending time with his wonderful wife and participating in the lives of their many nieces and nephews.

Survivors are his wife, Thelma, and his numerous nieces and nephews.
