Shirley Ann Huff

Shirley Ann (Tomlinson) Huff, 82, of Great Falls, died of natural causes Monday, Jan. 21, at her home.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Manchester Cemetery.

Shirley was born Jan. 29, 1930, to Fred and Cora (Simon) Tomlinson, in Oberon, N.D. When Shirley was 13, her family moved to Great Falls.

In 1948, she married Joseph H. Skaggs. They had three children and divorced in 1960.

She married Clarence Huff on June 15, 1962, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She and her husband worked together at Schell's Restaurant. They managed the restaurants at the Mint Bar, the Lobby Bar, the Winner's Circle and the Huff & Puff. They retired in 1996. She and Clarence owned and raced thoroughbred horses.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years; daughters Terree (Skaggs) Wozny of Great Falls; stepdaughters Bonnie (Huff) Rugh of Vancouver, Wash., and Pamela (Huff) Brurud of Lewistown; sons Joseph Skaggs of Las Vegas and Bruce Skaggs of Great Falls; stepsons Darrell Huff of Charles Town, W.V., and Michael Huff of Astoria, Ore.; 27 grandchildren; and 50-plus great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; stepson David Huff; and grandson David Huff.
