William Henry Hauger

Dearborn —William H. Hauger, 79, of Dearborn, passed away at his rural Dearborn home on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.

He was in born in Malta, Montana on September 25, 1934, to parents Edgar J. Hauger and Frances K. Lubbers-Hauger. He served in the U.S. Navy, two terms in Vietnam. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1972 with twenty years of service. He then worked for the Cascade County Road Department for twenty years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandchildren, and was never far from his wife of 52 years. He enjoyed being at his Dearborn home with his family. His greatest joys were his grandchildren and his greatest sorrow was being preceded in death by his grandson, Ross James Manning in 2004.

Survived by his wife, "The Love of His Life" for 52 years, Audrey Hauger, of Dearborn, MT; children, John (Jeanine) Hauger of Jessup, GA, Mary Manning (John Huber) of Great Falls, MT, Denise (Oscar) Vasfaret of Sweet Home, OR, Charles Arnold of Ausmyville, OR, Robert (Kristi) Arnold of Malta, MT; grandchildren, Brett Manning, Nicholas Manning, Katie Manning, Halle Huber, Alexa Huber, Luke Huber, Nicole Arnold, Christopher Vasfaret, Patrick Vasfaret, Kelly Cromwell, Kenneth Arnold, Justin Arnold, and several great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Niles.

In addition to his grandson he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Hauger.

At his request there will be no formal services; the family will have a private service.
