Great Falls —Wilma K. Fender, 84, of Great Falls, passed away April 10th of natural causes. Cremation is in the care of Croxford Funeral Home. A service will be held at a later date to be determined.

Wilma was born in Lewistown, MT on May 29th, 1929 to William and Carrie Stout. She spent her childhood growing up in Coffee Creek and later went on to graduate from Stanford High School. She married the love of her life Dean Fender in Fort Shaw on Oct. 9, 1949. This union gave birth to four wonderful children. Wilma was always very busy raising her children and keeping up with the home.

Known for having "infinite patience" she also had many hobbies that required this trait. She loved to draw, paint, craft, bake, and sew her own clothes. As a family they would frequently camp, fish and boat at Holter Lake as well as Lake Mary Ronan. She enjoyed playing the piano and accordion while accompanying Dean on the Banjo and guitar. No stranger to travel, she toured such destinations as Spain, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Her family would be the first to tell you that she had an amazing laugh which she used frequently and often.

Wilma is survived by Daughter Trudy(Gene) Hoehne of Missoula, MT. Her three sons David(Barbara) of Las Vegas, Ronald(Monika)Fender of Great Falls, Gordon(Alayne) Fender of Atlanta, Ga. Her Sister Hazel Malchon of Great Falls. In-laws Phil(Maxine) Fender of Belt and Lillian Watson of Fairfield and her four children. She also has 12 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Dean Fender.
