Virginia Stetson Obituary

VAUGHN - Virginia F. (Kolb) Stetson, 83, of Vaughn, a retired elementary school teacher, died of complications from Alz-heimer's disease Monday, May 16, at a Great Falls care facility.

Her funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday in the Rose Room at Croxford Funeral Home, with burial in the afternoon at Manchester Ceme-tery.

Survivors include her husband, Leland E. "Lee" Stetson of Vaughn; sons Paul (Jennifer E.) Stetson of Montana, and David (Jennifer M.) Stetson of Texas; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christopher, Robert, Anthony and Grace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Kolb; and a sister, Doris Koosman.

Virginia was born in Slayton, Minn., on Oct. 4, 1927, a daughter of John Kolb and Henrietta (Derlo) Kolb, and was raised in the Benson, Minn., area. She attended St. Cloud State Teachers College at St. Cloud, Minn., and Rocky Mountain College at Bill-ings.

She and Leland Stetson were married in Great Falls in 1957.

Not only was she an elementary teacher, but she was a homemaker and a mother. She enjoyed volunteering and had done so for the Salvation Army. Other pastimes and interests included counseling and advising, psychology, Bible study, quilting and knitting, and watching wild-life in her backyard.

Sorry for your lose but Virginia will be greatly missed. Virigina was loved by everyone that met or got to know her. I know I will truly miss Virginia and will one day look forward to seeing her in heaven. God bless the family at this time as God is with you.
