Black Eagle —Alice Farmer, 84, passed away on Oct 25, 2013 at Peace Hospice with children at her side. A memorial service will be held at Victory Christian Center, but postponed until the upcoming year. An announcement will appear when a service date is set.

Alice was born to Eric & Vera (Markham) Bryant in Waco, TX on Aug 8, 1929. The family moved around a lot in her childhood but eventually settled in Gaston, OR where Alice graduated high school. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from nearby Pacific University in 1953. The required practicum training was done at Montana State Univ. in Bozeman in conjunction with the Deaconess (Benefis) hospital in Great Falls. She became head nurse of the medical ward in 1953 and stayed with the Deaconess until retirement in 1988. She married William Farmer in Jan 1956. They lived in Black Eagle.

Alice enjoyed music, piano playing & singing. She was an avid animal lover and floral gardener. She loved God's creation. She enjoyed Bible study, family life, and her Christian Fellowship. She was a member of the Christian Women's Club and the First Methodist Church, later changing membership to Victory Christian Center. She supported Christian outreaches locally and abroad. She is now fully alive with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Alice is survived by her husband, William Farmer, son Randall (Susan) Farmer, and daughters Linda Farmer, Carolyn (Mike) Ricchiuto, & Ellen (Ron) Waicul, brothers Don (Carmen) Bryant, and Art (Arlene) Bryant and sisters Mary Helen (John) Adams, and Ester (Clarence) Bogle, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her brother James Bryant, who died in early childhood.
