Donald Murry "Don" Davidson Sr., 84, of Great Falls and Simms, died of lung cancer Nov. 29, at Peace Hospice.

A Celebration of Life is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 at New Beginnings Church of God, 1801 17th Ave. S. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place following the services at Highland Cemetery.

Don was born Oct. 2, 1928 in Great Falls to Thomas Davidson and Minnie (Fergerson) Davidson. He married Elva Lea "Bertha" Cunningham in 1946 and served in the Army from 1945 to 1947. After his discharge from the military he worked for Consolidated Freightways, retiring in 1990 after 35 years.

Don loved to hunt and fish and contributed to many wonderful walleye dinners for his family and his church. He spent numerous hours volunteering at his church and was always willing to take on any task. He particularly enjoyed working with children.

His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Bertha Davidson of Choteau; brothers Tom Davidson (Edie) and Gerry Davidson of Texas; sister Ella Dunbar (Rolfe) of Roseburg, Ore.; sons Don Davidson Jr. (Kay) of Prince of Wales, Alaska, Bruce Davidson (Teri) of Ulm, Rolfe Davidson (Carla) of Choteau, Larry Davidson (Patty) of Sun River, Dennis Davidson (Karen) of Boise, Idaho, Steven Davidson (Kathy) of Great Falls and Dale Davidson of Beaumont, Texas; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Don's name are suggested to New Beginnings Church of God, 1801 17th Ave. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.
