ORTLEY, S.D. - Donald M. Jacobs, 84, formerly of Great Falls, died of natural causes Friday, July 13, at his residence in Ortley.

Donald M. Jacobs was born on Dec. 6, 1927, to Michael and Agnes (Mossman) Jacobs in Billings. He attended Fratt Memorial Grade School, graduated from Billings High School in 1946 and earned a BSBA from Denver University in 1953. He served in World War II in the Army Airborne and in the Audit Agency from 1946 through 1948. He then was recalled back into the Army in the Finance Corps for the Korean War from 1950 until 1951. Donald was employed by Humble Oil Company from 1953 to 1959. He was self-employed on various ventures from 1959 to 1965 and then worked for Moore Business Systems until his retirement. He married Madeline Beaver on Dec. 26, 1973, in Great Falls.
Donald enjoyed traveling, reading, golf and bowling and was a Notre Dame Sports fan. He was a member of BPOE, Meadowlark Country Club and St. Ann's Catholic Parish.
Survivors are his stepchildren, Lynn (Marvin) Amdahl of Ortley, S.D., Susan (Bill) Lattin of Power and David (Janet) Beaver of Orofino, Idaho; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
