LINSDAY, Okla. Gordon Denny Buffalo Child-paskwâw-mostos awâsis,CQ 43, member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe, died of cancer Monday, Jan. 7, in Lindsay, Okla.
Wake service is Saturday, Jan. 12, and Sunday, Jan. 13, at Rocky Boy Lutheran Church, with funeral service before noon Monday, Jan. 14. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Carpenter-Denny of Shawnee, Okla.; father, Larry Denny Sr.; stepmother, Margaret Bernard; sons, Gordon George Denny Jr., Rebel Denny and Rowdy Denny, all of Bismarck, N.D., Keenan Meyers of Rocky Boy, Zack and Jeffery Moreno of Billings and Jeffery Frye of Shawnee, Okla.; daughters, Laurna Chief Goes Out, Shawn Denny, Lisa Marie Swan and Rylee Sutherland, all of Rocky Boy; brothers, Michael Seaton, Larry Denny Jr. and Tristan Bernard, all of Rocky Boy and Waylon Denny of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Melody Whitford and Misty Denny, both of Rocky Boy; granddaughter; and newborn niece.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Harriett St. Pierre Denny; infant daughter, Shelby Denny; grandmothers, Katherine Denny-Hines, Rose Mary Bernard and Margaret St. Pierre; grandfathers, Walter Denny, George Denny, Victor LaMere and Albert St. Pierre Sr., all of Rocky Boy.
