FAIRFIELD Hazel C. Idland, 88, of Fairfield, mom, grandma, teacher, veteran, died of natural causes Sunday, Aug. 5, at her home.

A graveside service with full military honors is 10 a.m. Saturday in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Fairfield. A gathering will follow at Opie and Carol Idland's home.
Hazel passed away while dreaming of dancing. She was born in Circle on Nov. 17, 1923, to Robert J. Secora and Karen Jensen Secora. She married Sherman Idland in 1948; they had five children.
Survivors include Jackie Phillips of Kalispell, Pam and Jon Fisher of Polson, Monte "Opie" and Carol Idland of Fairfield and Nancy and Dave Coultas of Superior; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Laurel Secora of Simms and Lil Secora of Palm Desert, Calif.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Rob; as well as her brothers, Bob and Don Secora.
