BIG SANDY John "Jack" Stephen Selon, 67, of Big Sandy, a car salesman, died of natural causes Wednesday, Aug. 29, at a local hospital.

His memorial service is 1 p.m. Monday at the Signal Point Golf Course in Fort Benton. Cremation is taking place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home.
Jack was born Sept. 21, 1944, to John and Alice Selon in Butte. He graduated from Butte High School in 1962 and went to work for the Montana Standard in 1963. In 1969, he started his lifelong career as a car salesman. He worked in Butte selling until 1994 when he moved to Fort Benton to work for Jim Taylor Chevrolet and continued to until his death.
Jack's faith was a testimony to the way he lived his life. He was a kind, genuine and humble man and was loved and respected by many. He was an avid outdoorsman belonging to Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was passionate about golf. He liked woodworking and playing the accordion. Jack especially enjoyed time with his kids, grandkids and cooking for family and friends. He was also a member of the Lions Club.
Jack is survived by his wife, Maureen Selon; daughters Jodi (Larry) Brooks of Great Falls, Robyn (Dave) Kehr of Columbia Falls and Johnna (Kyle) Stringer of Great Falls; son Jon Selon of Great Falls; sister Rosalie (Ron) Kuntz; brother Ted (Sally) Selon; grandchildren Spencer and Hunter Thomsen, Peyton and Ryley Kehr and Kaleb and Maya Stringer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
