June Richter Obituary

WHITEFISH - June Rose (McGlothlin) Richter, 92, died of natural causes Tuesday at a Whitefish care center.
Her funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitted Funeral Chapel of Cut Bank, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Austin Funeral Home.
June passed away Oct. 5, 2010.
June Rose McGlothlin was born June 6, 1918, in Roundup, Mont., and attended school through the 11th grade in Kalispell, Mont. She completed high school in Cut Bank, Mont.
In Cut Bank, June met her future husband, Frank. After their marriage, they raised four children in Cut Bank.
June operated "June Rose Fashions," a clothing store, for many years, and was known for her flashy dress and new styles. When she wasn't at her store, she and her husband Frank spent countless hours at their ranch in East Glacier. Those trips unfortunately ended when Frank died in 1995.
Survivors include her four children, Kent (Marcia) Richter of Cut Bank, Wanda Jo (Darrell) Grossman of Garfield, Wash., Alan (Diane) Richter of Whitefish, and Frank (Annie) Richter of Bozeman, Mont.; a brother and two sisters; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in June's name to your local hospice organization.

I was first introduce to hunting by Junes husband Frank, when he would come down hunting to Stockett. He got me interested in leather tooling and I would go up and stay with him and June. I still live near Stockett, run a guest Ranch and outfittig business, June was a real classy gal with alot of spunk. Take care kids and if you ever get to Great Falls give me a call.Sincerely, Jim Gasvoda
