Lesley Allan Wipperman Obituary
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Lesley Allan Wipperman, 45, former Great Falls resident, died following a long illness Friday, Feb. 15, in Albuquerque, N.M.

A memorial service is 2 p.m. Sunday at Atonement Lutheran Church in Missoula. All are welcome to help celebrate the life of a man who fought with bravery.

Les was born in Helena on Feb. 25, 1967, and welcomed into the loving arms of his parents, Alfred Wipperman and the late Evelyn Wipperman. Les attended school in Great Falls, graduating from C.M. Russell High School in 1985. He went on to have a successful business career managing several Albertson's stores throughout Montana. Later he fulfilled his dream of owning and operating his own store, Poly Food Basket in Billings, where he took immense pride in taking care of his neighborhood customers. Finally, he then lived in Las Vegas and Albuquerque, N.M., managing several Bed, Bath & Beyond stores.

Les' greatest joy and accomplishment in life, however, was that of being dad to his three children, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Sean; all of whom he was so proud and loved dearly. He cherished time spent with them and loved talking about them to others and sharing in their latest milestones. Les was an avid outdoor sportsman. He loved nothing better than the great outdoors and it was there that he found solace. Les' fondest memories were of time spent at hunting camp with his dad and introducing his children at a young age to the wonders of Montana. He hunted all over the state and fished many streams and rivers. The great outdoors was the place that brought him much happiness and it is there that he will later be laid to rest. Les lived life to the fullest and took us all on a wild ride. He lit up the room with his smile. He was compassionate, kind and generous. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was spontaneous and always game for a fun adventure. He was extremely hard working and liked by all with whom he came in contact. He loved deeply and lived his life courageously in spite of obstacles placed before him.

Les was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Wipperman.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Alfred and Irma Wipperman of Las Vegas; son Joseph Wipperman of Burke, Va.; daughter Elizabeth Wipperman of Missoula; son Sean Wipperman of Oceanside, Calif.; sister Melanie Griffith of Missoula; stepbrothers Scott and Randy Blake of Missoula; and stepsister Jody Rocks of Great Falls.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in Les' name.

Our dear son, father and brother, Les Wipperman, will be remembered always and forever missed.
