Michael "Skip" Van Henderson, 65, of Great Falls, died of complications of liver disease, Friday, Jan. 11, at a local health care facility.

No services are planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home & Crematory.
Michael was born May 3, 1947, to Wilford and Claire (Seigrest) Henderson in Great Falls. He was raised in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served honorably from April 1968 to 1971. He married Edie Kuntz in Great Falls in 1972. He worked at the Great Falls Refinery, Johnson's Distributing and United Van Lines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his sons and grandchildren. He loved the outdoors and working on vehicles with his sons.
His survivors include his wife of 40 years, Edie; sons Mike and Mark (Christi) Henderson; sisters Donna (Quinton) Stump, Chris Stevens, Mary Joe (Charlie) Falkner and Debbie Henderson; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson.
