Orillia Marie (Rose) Balko, 92, of Great Falls, died of natural causes Tuesday, Nov. 20, at a local hospital.

Visitation is noon to 5:30 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 23. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Orillia was born on Nov. 4, 1920 to Joseph and Rose (Lacoursierre) Rose in Great Falls where she attended school and graduated from Great Falls High. On July 29, 1939, she married John "Red" Balko. She worked at Montgomery Wards for 12 years before going to work for Duvall's for several years. She then chose to stay home and raise her two sons.
Orillia enjoyed fishing, crocheting, embroidery and she was a lifelong member of Holy Family and later Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Orillia is survived by a son Michael "Mick" Balko of Great Falls; three granddaughters, Michelle Timmins, Erin Rivera and Tara Balko; and three great-grandchildren, Michael John Timmins, Jon Alexander Balko and Riley Lawrence Balko.
Preceding her in death was her husband John "Red" Balko, son Russell Balko and daughter-in-law Carla Balko; and numerous sisters and brothers.
Memorials are suggested to Gift of Life or Mercy Home.
