Great Falls —Almanza, Patricia
Patricia (Patty) went to be with our Dad, Joe N. Almanza on Dec 26, 2013 after a short but valiant struggle. In accordance with her wishes, a private family service was held in the Rose Room at Croxford Funeral Home. Patricia was born on May 23, at 4:06 am in Columbus Hospital. She was the middle child and third daughter born to Joe N. Almanza and Feliz F. Almanza, A true West-sider, she attended Franklin Elementary School, West Junior High and graduated from CM Russell High School. After graduation, Patty moved to Kent WA. She found her calling in life to be a financial Multi-tasker/thinker. She was always good with money and this suited her well. She remained in WA until 1997 when she moved back to Great Falls. Upon her return, she returned to work for her good friends Al and Carol Verploegen. A dedicated worker, she worked for the first of her two work families at Hamilton Misfeldt & Co. She enjoyed working with all of her friends there. She found her second family at the University of Great Falls, whom she loved working with and loved all the friends she made there. Patricia was a loving, warm-hearted young lady. Once you were accepted into her family circle, you were there forever. She moved in with Mom to help her, after Dad passed away in 2007. She was so good to our mother, helping her in every way possible and still finding time to help us, her family. Next to her long beautiful hair, her smile was her best feature. She smiled at you from her heart. Most people will say how much money they have or that influence is important, for Patty, it was how happy she could be and how she could make you happy. She had a wicked sense of humor and loved to play jokes on those she loved. She loved her family, friends, her Mexican heritage, her Mexican soaps and her Mustang. She enjoyed traveling, going to Nevada, Washington and Colorado and she was always up for a trip to Las Vegas, Jackpot or Black Hawk. Always a fitness fanatic, her love of exercise was only outdone by her love of chocolate. She always felt Great Falls was her home, more importantly, where Mom and Dad are, is where she wanted to be. She will always remain young and beautiful. The tears we cry are not for her, but for us, and the big hole she leaves in our hearts. She leaves behind those to mourn her: Her mother, Feliz F. Almanza; her sisters Alice and Gloria; her brothers Joe P. and Richard; her in-laws Douglas Vance, Dee Almanza and Larry Breitenbach; her nieces and nephews: Donez Dunston, Glenn & Lanise Kennedy, Candice & Danny Iovine, Joe Vance, Ashley & Scott Johnson, Kelsey Almanza, Kaci Jo Almanza and the younger ones Darien Dunston, Patience Kennedy, Aiden Hanson, Arrianna Vance, Camden Johnson and Baby Iovine. Her very special friends from both of her work families, Amy, Brenda, Jimmy, Karla, Kristen, Pam, Stacy, Tammy, Tony and Vicky. Patty fought a valiant struggle to stay with us, however, God decided he needed her more. We will miss her every day, hearing her voice in our head and our hearts. Her spirit will never leave us. Vaya con Dios Patty. Nosotros te amo y nos vemos otra vez.
