Sahuarita, AZ —SFC. Paul Willam Walker, US Army, Retired, of Sahuarita, Arizona passed away July 7th, 2013. He was formerly from Great Falls, Montana. The son of Paul Vernon and Kathleen (Russell) Walker, he was born on August 2nd, 1933 in Harrison County, Indiana. He was raised in New Albany, Indiana and Claremore, Oklahoma.

Paul joined the US Air Force on August 12th, 1950 and served 4 1/2 years. He joined the US Army on January 9th, 1962 and served until he retired in 1978. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict Era and served three tours in Vietnam. After retring from the Army, Paul and his wife started a trucking business called P & R Trucking, Inc. which was leased to Oklahoma Tank Lines out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They owned the trucking business until they fully retired in 1987. In his free time, Paul enjoyed huntng, fishing and playing golf. His motto in life was to stay "Cool, Calm, and Collected!" He was the much beloved patriarch of our family and he will be greatly missed by all.

Paul is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann (Hilbert) Walker, of 45 years, his three children Audrey Darrlene (Walker) Freeman of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kenneth Dewayne Walker and his wife Andrea of Great Falls, Montana, and TanyaD'wan (Walker) Witt and her husband Brian, of Sahuarita, Arizona. He is also survived by his brother Ralph Edward Walker and wife Linda of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and his sisters Sherry Jo (Walker) Carey and husband Jack of Danville, Kentucky, and Donna Kay (Bell) Walkingstick Hunter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is survived by six grandchildren, Michael Allen Mead of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Curtis James Freeman of Norman, Oklahoma, Tyler Eugene Walker, Kelsey Robin Walker, and Jessica Cheyanne Walker of Great Falls, Montana, and Lucas Paul Witt of Sahuarita, Arizona, one great granddaughter, Shayleen Raevin Mead of Klamath Falls, Oregon, nephew Jack Carey, Jr. and nieces Donna Kay and Lisa Carey of Danville, Kentucky, niece Sophia Tenyson of Inola, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul Vernon and Kathleen Walker.
