CHOTEAU Verna Elizabeth (Bjork) Poore, 95, of Choteau, died of natural causes Saturday, March 23, at her home in Choteau, one day after her 95th birthday.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Gorder Jensen Funeral Home in Choteau. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Choteau United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Choteau Cemetery. Gorder Jensen Funeral Home handled arrangements.
She was born in Bole to homesteading parents, John and Hilda (Johnson) Bjork. Verna was extremely interested in genealogy and had created over 100 binders of information about her own family and her husband's family. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, games and crossword puzzles.
Verna was dedicated to all of her extended family and tried hard to keep in touch with them through the years. She especially loved the 2010 100-year reunion and celebration of the Bjork's tenure in Teton County.
Verna worked for the federal government in the A.S.C.S. and for Montana State family services. She spent most of her life in Teton County. She was a member of the Rebeccas, a Sunday school teacher, a Cub Scout leader and was a lifelong member of the Choteau United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Bradley of Choteau and Teri Chisholm of Stevensville; her grandchildren, Lisa Bradley and Chris Bradley, both of Nampa, Idaho, Justin Bradley of Bend, Ore., Joshua Bradley of Eden, Utah, Tami Van Kirk of Stevensville and Tara Petz of Redmond, Ore.; great-grandchildren Morgan Glock of Jacksonville, Fla., Katie Glock of Nampa, Sarah Day of Oceanside, Calif., Josiah Van Kirk of Stevensville, Grayson Bradley of Nampa, Hannah Van Kirk of Stevensville, Jessica Bradley of Portland, Ore., Bridger Bradley of Nampa, Nathanial Van Kirk of Stevensville, Tanna River Bradley of Eden, Seth and Ethan Petz, both of Redmond; and a great-great-grandchild, Van Holston of Jacksonville, Fla.
Verna was preceded in death by her son, Larry; her husband, John; her mother and father; and sisters Ruth Johnson, Lucille Forseth and Evelyn Bjork
