W. Thomas "Tom" Patte Obituary
W. Thomas "Tom" Patte

NEW MEXICO —W. Thomas "Tom" Patte, 51, of New Mexico, passed away on October 8, 2009 from complications of diabetes.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Ryegate, MT.

He was born October 10, 1957 to W. Roy and Ella (Dunlap) Patte. He grew up on the family farm in Ryegate. He loved working in the fields and driving tractors; he was a good worker. He left the family farm and moved to Billings, and then to Albuquerque, NM where he got his HAM license with the call sign KC7JGS. His dad was happy to share the same hobby.

Tom worked for the Boys and Girls Club in Billings and was a caretaker for a large campground in the mountains of Albuquerque. He thrived on making new roads, campsites, and repairs, a regular "Mister Fix It," like his father.

He is survived by his father, W. Roy Patte; step-mother Sue Patte; sister Joye Shalz of CA; stepsisters Cheryl Mysko of PA and Lauren Joseph of NC; and nephew Christopher.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Patte; and brothers, David, and John.

Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
