CRAIG —Carol Lindow 61, of Craig, was released of her earthly duties Tuesday, August 5, 2014.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the old Craig Schoolhouse in Craig, MT.
Born Carol Sue Stockamp in Great Falls, Montana on June 14, 1953 to Arthur and Lilly (Halvorson) Stockamp; she grew up on a farm in Fort Shaw until her father passed at a young age. She spent much of her childhood riding horses at the neighboring Merja ranch in Sun River.
After graduating high school in Great Falls, she attended a semester at Carroll College leaving early to become a homemaker.
She was later married to Robert Lindow to raise three boys and was able to see them grow into men. All the while, growing to become a tremendous support system and business partner to her ailing husband.
She passed peacefully and reluctantly leaves behind three sons, Arthur, Kershten and John, her husband, and two grandchildren.
She will be most remembered for her open heart, non-judgmental attitude, selfless toil and humor.
She enjoyed the outdoors taking it in by hunting for mushrooms and deer. In her later years she often floated the river in her kayak and took time for sightseeing.
She was a confidant to her community and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
