Alex Marie Castillo, whose Assiniboine Indian name given by her grandfather was "Cloud Robe Medicine Girl," was born on Aug. 24, 2007, a few minutes after her twin sister, Alexis Joy, in Havre. She was her mama's Little Princess and her daddy's Precious Girl. Alex was known for her beautiful smile and her twinkling eyes, which were the brightest when she and Alexis were getting into mischief.
"The Girls" were quite a pair. There was nothing in the kitchen or the bathroom that escaped their curiosity, whether it was a tub of margarine, pancake mix, sugar, hair detangler or lotion. They were happiest when covering each other in these things or maybe their big brother, Jesse, who was just a year older.
Alex loved "Dora the Explorer" and watching WWE wrestling and trying out wrestling moves on the big brothers. Alex or "House" as she was known to her family, was the calm one of the twins, just sitting back and grinning while all around her was chaos.
She will live forever in the hearts of her family.
Alex is survived by her parents, Adam Castillo and Mardell Johnson; brothers Steven, Marcus and Jesse; sisters Peggy and Alexis; adopted brothers Lance Strike and Ricky Reyes; grandparents Tony Sr. and Joyce Castillo, and Douglas and Kathryn Johnson; great-grandparents Monty George Ball and Jean Campbell, all of Fort Belknap; namesake Tina Marie Walls of Wolf Point; aunts and uncles Andrea Castillo of Chinook, Marc (Dru) Castillo of Midland, Texas, Tony Castillo Jr. of Havre, Amanda (Deloon) Newbell, stationed in Germany, Lee (Marion) Gray, Bernice (Martin) Strait, Iris (Lester Weigand) Johnson and Diane (Steven Cochran) Johnson, all of Fort Belknap, Eleanor (Jay Eagleman) YellowRobe and Leslie (James Flying) Cochran, all of Rocky Boy; uncles Brian Thomas of Bakersfield, Calif., and Matthew Stiffarm of Fort Belknap; and numerous cousins and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by Edgar Johnson Sr., aunt Abbey Wooden Legs; great-grandmas Peggy Ball and Edith Earthboy.
