Dorothy Ann (Hoelzel) Williamson, 90, of Great Falls, a homemaker, died of natural causes Saturday, July 28, at a local care facility.

Dorothy was born May 1, 1922, to Carl and Elizabeth Hoelzel in Great Falls. She was raised and educated in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School. She married Shirley Edward Williamson on Christmas Eve, 1941, at St. Ann's Cathedral in Great Falls; he died January 3, 1997 after 56 years of marriage.
Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge and taught many people the game over her 30 years of playing at the Great Falls Senior Citizens Center. In her life, she also taught children how to bowl, enjoyed knitting and was an excellent seamstress, cook and baker.
She is survived by her sons, G.C. Williamson, Terry L. (Lynn) Williamson and Bob S. (Vickie) Williamson of Great Falls; daughters Janet J. (Rick) Connell, Lynn A. Walls and Mary Beth Williamson of Great Falls; a cousin, Rev. Carl Trutter of Texas; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her beloved Schnauzers Spencer and Baxter.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Bette Nash; a brother-in-law, Bob Nash; and a grandson, Jeff Williamson.
