Donald Odegard Obituary
Donald Arthur Odegard, 75, of Great Falls, died of cancer Nov. 21, at a local healthcare facility.

His funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Croxford Funeral Home.

Don was born on Dec. 3 1936 in Great Falls to Arthur and Frances Odegard. He graduated in 1955 from Great Falls High School and then served six years with the Montana Air National Guard, spending two of those years in France. He worked with his father and other relatives at Odegard's Gas Station for many years. He enjoyed playing card games, fishing and collecting antiques. The neighborhood kids, especially the Peterson's: Debbie, Steve, Kevin and Carla, loved Don. He would teach them card games, take them fishing or just have fun. They continued to stay in touch with Don after they grew up and moved away from the neighborhood. Don had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He loved to feed the birds and squirrels and plant flowers in his flower beds. grandpa Don will forever be cherished in our hearts.

Don is survived by his son Scott Odegard; grandchildren Jennifer Silver of Las Vegas, Brandon Odegard of Kalispell, Matthew Odegard of Great Falls and William and Steven Hill of Billings; great-grandchildren Sadie Silver, Landon Odegard and Easton Odegard; special friend and "daughter" Laura Kamura; brother-in-law Jim Macklin; nieces Linda Busko, Laurie Macklin, Christine Sanchez and Gail Macklin; and nephew Jim Macklin.
