Mark Anthony Brantl, 63, of Great Falls, died from cancer Friday, March 22, at Peace Hospice.

Funeral liturgy is 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Cremation had taken place under the direction of O'Connor Funeral Home.
US Air Force veteran and safety director for Pacific Steel and Recycling, Mark was born Feb. 2, 1950, to Norman and Theresa Brantl in East Grand Forks, N.D. He was happily married to Diana Barth from 1970, until she passed away last year on Dec. 26. Mark retired from the US Air Force and then worked as a safety director for Pacific Steel and Recycling.
Mark is survived by his mother, Theresa Brantl of Breckenridge, Minn.; daughter, Paula Sondreal of Phoenix, Ariz.; son, Mark J. Brantl of Post Falls, Idaho; sisters, Judy Bjerke of Mora, Minn. and Laurie Carr of Bransville, Minn.; brothers, Dan Brantl of Lisbon, N.D., Steve Brantl of Manhatten, Kan., Dave Brantl of Burlington, Colo. and Chris Brantl of Fairmont, N.D.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Brantl.
