Casper —Clarissa Elaine Bliss Morris passed away June 13, 2013 after a courageous ten year battle with breast cancer.
Clarissa was born on August 23, 1940 to Bernice and Harry Bliss of Ft. Shaw. She was raised on a ranch in Montana and was a cowgirl at heart. She graduated from MSU with a MS degree in mathematics and studied abroad as a Fulbright scholar in Germany. She was a respected math teacher in Casper, Wyoming, teaching at Casper College and Natrona County High School, and later at Farson High School.
Her four children, Joseph, Kirstin, David and Britta were her pride and joy. Her grandchildren Evie and Lucas only added to that, keeping her laughing and on her toes.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kirstin, her parents, brother Charles, and sisters Marjorie and Dorothy.
She is survived by her children, Joseph of Casper, David of Portland and Britta (Gordon) Crawford of Casper, grandchildren Evie and Lucas, her brothers and sisters - Harrison, Jim, Robert, Bernadine, Ethelyn, John, Luella and Bill (Willy)- and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarissa will be missed by all of her family and many friends. She was a giving person with a kind spirit who made friends easily and would do anything she could to help others. She was fair and thoughtful. You were only a stranger if you didn't stop and chat when you met her.
