Gary Friese Obituary
Great Falls —Gary Joseph Friese, 58, of Great Falls, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017, at Benefis Healthcare with his family by his side. A Vigil Service will begin at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 6, 2017 in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home, the family will receive friends until 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 201 44th St. South, with a Burial to follow immediately at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Gary Friese was born July 12, 1958 in Garrison, ND to Joseph and Darlene (Kastner) Friese. His family moved to Havre, MT in 1959, and he attended St. Jude's Catholic School. His family moved to Great Falls in 1971.
As a youth, Gary was a paper carrier for the Great Falls Tribune, until he started working at Selstad's Soil, and later Montana Hatchery. He graduated from Great Falls High School in 1976 and started employment at the Buttrey's Warehouse until it closed. He then worked at Ryan's Warehouse. At the time of his death, he was employed at Service Master. Gary led a carefree life and was a collector of all things.
Gary is survived by his children, Jeremiah, Joseph, and Rebecca; mother, Darlene; sister, Debra (Phil Miller) Redmond, WA; brothers, Greg, Westminster, CO, David (Mary), Orinda, CA, and Dean (Betty), Black Eagle; three grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death, by his father, Joe.
