Eric Dittmer Obituary

Dittmer, Eric

Eric "E.T." Dittmer left the planet on Monday, December 30, 2013, to continue his journey.

He was born on February 12, 1946, to Roger & Jane (Jabas) Dittmer.

Eric was a graduate of Green Bay West High School in 1964. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country.

Eric married Bonnie Pansier on August 27, 1975.

He was employed for over 33 years in the mill division of Green Bay Packaging until his retirement.

Eric had a passion for wood carving. He dedicated hours to creating carvings and took pleasure in giving those items to family and friends. He loved racing, the Green Bay Packers, karaoke and playing dominos every Tuesday night for the past eight years with friends.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; children, Julie (Frank) Holmes, John (Cassidy) Dittmer and Ilea (Curt) Cornelius; grandchildren, Frank & Melia Holmes, Natalie & Benjamin Dittmer and Kendyl & Garrett Cornelius; mother, Jane Dittmer; sister, Bette (Richard) Naud; mother-in-law, Marilyn Pansier; brother-in-law, Dale Pansier; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roger.

Honoring Eric's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a future date. To leave a message for the family, please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.com

Eric's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice for their care and support during this time.

Bonnie and Family,

I am very sorry for your loss. Eric was a classmate at West, a fellow veteran, and a kindred soul who refused convention and chose a Road Less Traveled.

Was looking forward to seeing him again at our 50th HS Reunion this coming August ... at least he no longer feels pain or sickness, having been freed of all that.

My deepest condolences to your and yours.

Very sorry to hear of Rick's passing. We were friends from high school many years ago, and played rec. league basketball together for several years. Rick was a good guy, and a good friend. My sincere condolences to his family.
