I had Mrs. Burkart as my third grade teacher at St. Joseph's and was a classmate of her son Dan. I always appreciated Mrs. Burkart's passion for teaching and engaging all of her young students in all education offered. My deepest sympathies go to all of her family.

I remember Mrs. Burkart from Notre Dame. When I was in fifth grade she invited me to participate in a group that recited Casey at Bat for student audiences. It was one of the first times I recall being recognized for something positive and it meant the world to me. I've always remembered how she made a difference. My condolences to her friends and family.

To the family of Myrtle,
she was a wonderful person that I got to know at Notre Dame School, she had helped all of my now grown children in the learning center. You are in my prayers.
