Conard, La Vern M.
La Vern M. Conard, 93, formerly of Green Bay died Friday afternoon, May 10, 2013 at Fred and Mamie's Home in Luxemburg. She was born in New Franken March 6, 1920 to the late Alois and Rose (Laundrie) Burkart. On December 23, 1944 she married Elmer J. Conard at St. Kilian Church, New Franken. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1989. La Vern was employed with Fort Howard Paper Co. her entire working career until she retired. She enjoyed her flowers, crafts and playing cards.
Survivors include one sister in law, Germaine Burkart, Green Bay; nieces and nephews; Ron (Sue) Burkart, Sharon Burkart, Dan (Kathy) Berg, Diane (Joe) Froelich, Don (Gretchen) Berg, Denise Berg, Dale (friend Patty Nitka) Berg, Donna (Tom) La bonte, David (Katie) Berg, David (Virginia) Burkart, Mary Kay Berg, Holly Pichette, Randy (Brenda) Burkart, Dennis (Janice) Burkart, Gary (Connie) Burkart, Cheryl (Rick) Koenig, Jean (Jeff) Roberts, Joyce Delvaux, Ken (Marge) Strebel, Norman (Barb) Strebel, Ron (Sue) Conard, Gary (Helen) Conard, Pat (friend Dale Verhagen) Dorner, many great nieces and great nephews.
La Vern was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, her father in law and mother in law, John and Odile Conard, four brothers, Farell (Adeline) Burkart, Leo (Gladys) Burkart, Ray (Rosemary) Burkart, James Burkart, one sister, Evelyn (Louis) Berg, three brothers in law and two sisters in law; Henry (Mabel) Strebel, Harvey (Gladys) Conard, Richard (Gladys) Conard, four nephews; Dick (Marilyn) Burkart, Jerry Burkart, Darrell Berg, Russell Delvaux, two great-nieces, Jordyn Burkart and Lily Froelich.
Friends may call at St. Joseph Church, Champion 9:00 am. to 10:45 am. Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Funeral 11:00 am Wednesday at the church with Rev. Andrew Kurz officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg is assisting the Conard Family. www.mcmahonfh.com
La Vern's Family would like to Thank Cheryl Koenig for all the wonderful care and concern she has shown La Vern over the past several years. No one could have loved her more or have been more attentive to La Vern's needs. A special Thank you is also extended to Sharon and Wayne DePeau and their staff at Fred and Mamie's Home in Luxemburg along with Unity Hospice for taking such great care of La Vern.
