Forster, Marjorie Helen
Marjorie Helen Forster, 83, Howard, died Thursday, July 11, 2013. She was born November 7, 1929 to Erving and Florence (Gray) Kroening.
On August 21, 1950, Marjie married Robert William Forster, Sr. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2013. They were happily married for 62 years.
As the wife of a career Naval man, Marjie was responsible for holding their family together through many moves and deployments. She set up homes in Pensacola and Jacksonville, FL; Rota, Spain, Pax River, MD and Wisconsin Rapids. In each of these cities she volunteered in the hospitals and in Head Start programs. She also worked in secretarial work with the government, retiring from the civil service.
Marjie enjoyed playing Mahjong Tiles and bridge. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed bowling.
Marjie is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Lee and Herman Fiess, Donna Jean "Rocky" and Michael Calawerts; a son, Robert William "Bill", Jr. and his loving companion, Ruth Walkowiak; five grandchildren, Ashley Stalter, Chip Fiess, Lucas, Brady and Nate Calawerts; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Sam Stalter; a sister, Vivian (Ernest) Kroll; a brother, James (Nancy) Kroening; a sister-in-law, Helen Kroening; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; a brother, Edward Kroening; a sister, Marian (Richard) Dekarski.
Friends may call at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum, 2121 Riverside Dr., Allouez, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel with Rev.
