Geniesse, Annette L.
Annette L. Geniesse, 70, Ashwaubenon, died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at her home. She was born January 21, 1943, in Marquette, MI to Leo and Madeline (Hiller) Rivard.
Annette moved to Green Bay at the age of 17. In July of 1961, she married Francis Kidd and they had four children. On May 18, 1985, Annette married Lloyd "Mike" Geniesse. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2010. Annette had been employed as a cook at the Salvation Army for many years, retiring in 2000. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Green Bay. In her free time, Annette enjoyed fishing, jet skiing and snowmobiling in her younger days, as well as playing bingo on an occasional trip to the casino. Family was very important to Annette and she enjoyed the family booyah and fish frys. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Bill and Chris Kidd, Chris and Gail Kidd, Linda and Jeff Peterson, Susan Verstoppen and her special friend, Mike Peotter; 13 grandchildren, Matt Thompson, LuAnn "Molly" Kidd, Jade Kidd, Nathan Crone, Cassie Carroll, Jena Noha, Crystal Wallenfang, Nathan Whiting, Frankie Kraemer, Tori Michell, Ashley Michell, Ericka Michell, and John Verstoppen; seven great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, Mike and Nicole Geniesse, and Angie Tegen; five step-grandchildren, Cassie, Andy and Jimmy Geniesse, Brandon Neal, and Brittany Tegen; a step-great-grandchild; her brother, Roy Rivard; a brother-in-law, Robert "Sonny" Geniesse; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd "Mike" Geniesse, her parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014. A Moose Lodge Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. The Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, in Howard. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
