My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Lori, Julie, Alan and their families, other family members of Frank's, and to the many friends and neighbors he leaves behind. My family lived right next door to Frank and Joannie's family my whole life. I sure did miss them and the old neighborhood when I had to move on. I stayed in touch with Joannie until her passing in 2004, and with Frank throughout those following years, and then through his daughter Lori these last 2 years when he moved to the Health and Rehabilitation Center. Frank was such a good man and a friendly neighbor. He would offer assistance without ever being asked. Somehow he always knew when I was struggling with my parent's 8' tall Christmas tree every year. He'd see me out of the window and come out with his saw, give it a fresh cut and helped me wrestle it into the stand and into the house. That is just one of so many memories I will always cherish from growing up next door to Frank and Joannie and their family. Rest in peace, Frank. May your family and friends take comfort in the knowledge that you will never truly be gone, for you will surely live on in our many memories of you over the years, as well as in our hearts. God bless!
Sincerely,
Amy Lynn Dodge

My sympathies to Al, Julie, Lori and families on the passing of your dad. Too many great memories of Frank to recount here-such a good man. I'll remember him walking around outside in the evening with his coffee cup, checking out the flowers, and his contagious laugh. This marks the end of an era on 13th Street, but the long-time family neighbor stories live on.
