Marks, Richard "Dick" J.
Richard "Dick" James Marks, 80, Green Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 2, 2014. He was born July 20, 1933, in Milwaukee, to the late John and Elizabeth (Zoch) Marks. Dick graduated with the class of 1951 from Messner Catholic High School in Milwaukee. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force. On January 17, 1959, Dick married the love of his life Caroline Ziolkowski at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Milwaukee.
Dick had a love and passion for music, traveling, doing crossword puzzles from the Milwaukee Journal, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going out to eat at his favorite restaurant The Rite Place, where owner, Julie would let Dick's favorite waitress, Leah know that he was there.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carol; daughters, Cathy (Steve) DeBauche and Mary Marks; grandchildren, Jennifer Frank and James Frank; sister, Rosemary Krieg; brother, Lawrence Marks; brothers-in-law, Louis (Lorraine) and Bernard Ziolkowski; and sister-in-law, Marie Kraus; special niece, Susan Huyck; and special cousin, Ken Maudsley.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn; infant sister, Elizabeth; brother, John; and special cousin, Betty Maudsley.
Family and friends may gather Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 9:00am until 11:00am. A memorial service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00am with Rev. Patrick Gawrylewski O.F.M. officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Whenever or wherever I ever ran into Mr. Marks, he was always there with a smile and a big hello. I will always remember that. I am so sorry to hear of the loss.
